Groove Jones and an Update!
Howdy guys!
It's been a while since I have posted anything here! I am excited to say that I have been working at Groove Jones and am finally gaining experience working on some projects in the industry.
I have gone from being an intern to being hired as a Contract Rigger at Groove Jones!
Our main focus is creating VR/AR experiences for clients!
Recently, we worked on a few experiences for the Perot Museum.
I rigged a bat and a pachyrhinosaurus. They were fun challenges and I learned a lot from the two rigs.
The bat was used in The Dinaledi Chamber VR Experience!

The Pachyrhinosarus was used for a Snapchat Lens!
Scan this and have a little Pachyrhinosaurus friend in Snapchat.

For other projects, we are currently using the XSENS suit to record body capture and it has been a blast to use. More info on that will come out as soon as we finish our current project. :)
Where is the Barbarian Rig, Nick? Isn't this the Barbarian Blog?
Believe it or not, I have been working on it! I have been pretty busy with everything at Groove Jones that it's been a little tough to be consistent with updating things. Regardless, progress is being made and I will update this blog again once I make a good enough update.
To give you an idea of where I am at. I had to remake the controls for the neck and make the spine a control rig and bind joints. I am currently working on Paintweights and am going to attempt to make Corrective Blendshapes to retain volume on the character.
